We mounted laser rangefinder and if laser rangefinder zeroed in on 6 shots on the new Ruger SR556. Quick mount arm is very nice. After zero, we decided that laser rangefinder was far ahead, so we popped the lever moved the scope back a few notches on the rail and locked laser rangefinder back down. Nevertheless, good to zero. We rented a couple of times the scope and mounted it again and still zero. It was not long enough to try the range of BDC and not set up our laser. We did turn the laser and a bright sunny day it is very unreliable for 100 yards, but I would not expect it to work well in such conditions. We will install it on your next trip to the bell at 25 feet and under range. I highly recommend it for those who have taken the middle distance with a flat top AR. It should work on the handle mount, too, but we do not have. It was awkward size, which not only fits in a shirt pocket or jacket so you had to Cary laser rangefinder in your day pack or hung around the neck (which is annoying when shooting.) Friends earlier verion CRF1200 and I was impressed with the clarity of the lens and the laser. laser rangefinder model has all the good features mentioned (laser and clarity), and be small enough to fit in your pocket and use one hand. Being able to measure the angle of a clear advantage over earlier models and is very useful when shooting in the mountains, so as to calculate the true range when shooting up / down hill. Barometer and temperature would be suitable for ballistic data imput but I have “a station”, so take care. As for the band, I only have to take laser rangefinder to 1040yds but laser rangefinder was a sunny day (I was aiming at in the shadow of the house that I saw). At dusk he ever read past 1000yds.

For the cost you will be hard pressed to discover a better spotting scope. Very clear images in very all lighting conditions from 20-40x. On a cloudy day 60x is a small dim but on a sunny day there is no issue. I have no trouble focusing at any magnification. The body of the scope is nice & solid. I am liking how the aim lens cover can be pulled out & used for a lens shade. I have had no fogging issues. My laser works & laser rangefinder is relativity simple to ‘sight in’ with the view of the scope but I don’t see the purpose. I does help in aligning the scope at distances less then 50-60yds but you cannot see laser rangefinder (without the scope) past that distance in daylight. The tripod is kinda of cheap but laser rangefinder is light weight & works fine. I don’t see how could break/bend laser rangefinder unless they kept throwing it at a wall.

I bought the NcStar as I didn’t have lots of money at that moment & thought I could get by with it.

I have been using the Sky Caddie GPS for years & while the GPS has given me a lovely estimate of distance to hazards & points on the green, I still found myself with long putts or getting in trouble around difficult pin placements. I have also tried other rangefinders without the pin seeking/slope features & found them much of a hassle to make use of, with backgrounds close to the green. The Bushnell Tour V2 Slope Rangefinder has given me much more correct pin distance/slope manipulation information than I have ever had before & laser rangefinder is fast & simple to read. As a result, I have found myself closer to the pin & in fewer hazards or other difficult situations from my approach shots. I definitely would recommend this rangefinder.
